Lesson 2: Activate Your Inner Vision
Share
Most athletes, and coaches are familiar with the concept of visualization, and will agree that your imagination is a very powerful tool. Indeed, it is. Imagination acts as a magic wand. It brings ideas to life, and makes the impossible possible. Some may argue that knowledge is the key to success, but truly, imagination is what you need to succeed. Luckily, a little imagination is all you need to begin practicing Energy Management.
Moving forward, remember that your imagination is powerful enough to connect with, and direct energy. All you have to do is imagine it is so, and so it shall be. We can use our imagination to "see" energy. As we use our powers of imagination, we also awaken our inner vision. Your inner vision is a natural function of your intuition that allows you to see energy that typically goes unseen by our physical eyes. With time, your inner vision can also become a useful tool for preventing injury, and errors during gameplay, and competition.
Activate Your Inner Vision
- Close your eyes, and relax your breathing. Relax your face, and jaw.
- Straighten your spine, and neck.
- Softly place your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
- Gently bring your eyes inward, toward the bridge of your nose. It may help to place your fingers at the bridge of your nose to focus the direction of your eyes. (In the beginning, if your eyes begin to flutter heavily, it may be helpful to place your hands lightly over them, or use a sleep mask to steady them.)
- As your eyes rest in this position, you will begin to see flashes of color, and dancing light. This is the inner screen of your mind.
- Observe what you see. You may begin to notice shapes, symbols, numbers, pictures, or mini movies within the light. These may look like slightly translucent holograms.
The more you look, the more you will see. Your subconscious mind can send you messages through your inner vision. Practice connecting with your inner vision throughout the day. You may want to begin writing down the impressions you receive. Do they mean anything to you?
This exercise works to engage, and stimulate the pineal gland. In the beginning, you may feel a bit of pressure, or a dull headache in the area of your third eye. This is normal, and a reminder to go slow. Just like normal muscles, you don't want to over do it. You may find that your allergies, or sinuses flare up, too. This is a good sign that your pineal gland is successfully waking up, and working to clear out stagnant energy. As stagnant, or low energy is transmuted, your inner vision will become stronger, and more clear. With time, your inner vision may become visible to you without closing your eyes.
Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble connecting, make sure you are placing your tongue flat to the roof of your mouth. This creates a complete circuit within the body, and brain. Applying pressure is not necessary, but sometimes can be helpful. Mewing exercises can be helpful with determining your own proper tongue placement.
Moving forward, your inner vision is what we will use to control energy, and perform Energy Management.
Control the energy. Control the game.
